Dear Mr. Brynien:
This letter will continue and confirm
the understandings of the parties reached during the negotiation of the
2003-2007 Agreement between the State of New York and the Public Employees
Federation regarding the Employee Assistance Program, the Family Benefits
Program and other work-life initiatives.
The parties recognize the mutual
benefits of programs designed to assist employees with personal problems that
affect their performance on the job and help balance work and family
responsibilities. Accordingly, a single
multi-union labor/management advisory board shall be established to ensure the
coordination of benefits available to employees through the Employee Assistance
Program, the Family Benefits Program and other work-life programs mutually
agreed to by the parties.
