• Inconvenience Pay is additional compensation paid to employees required to work four or more hours between 6pm and 6am.
   

• Inconvenience Pay is separate from, and in addition to, any shift differential that might be approved for a specific title and location.
   

• Inconvenience Pay is paid on a daily basis.  Inconvenience Pay is reported as compensable income for retirement.  It is  not considered "base pay" for promotion or any other purpose.
