Annual Vision Benefit for Certain  Conditions

UPDATE: PEF and the State have agreed to extend this benefit until April 1, 2004. Article 9.25(b) of the 1999-2003 PS&T contract includes an annual vision benefit for adults with certain documented medical conditions that may affect their vision. These medical conditions include diabetes, developing cataracts, taking a prescription drug which could cause vision changes, or any other medical condition which could cause a change in vision.

The benefit is a pilot program which would have expired on April 1, 2003. However, PEF and the State have agreed  to continue the program until April 4, 2004.
