Charged the wrong drug copay?

United Health Care (UHC)/Medco, the prescription drug insurer/administrator for the Empire Plan, charged incorrect copayments for PEF enrollees who filled brand name prescriptions from October 1-4. Copays for generic prescriptions were not affected.

UHC/Medco kept track of enrollees who were incorrectly charged the higher copay and will automatically issue a refund in November. Even members who paid by credit card will receive a check rather than a credit back to their cards.

If you expect a refund and haven’t received it by December 1, call 1-877-7-NYSHIP or 1-877-769-7447 and press 4 for the Empire Plan Prescription Drug Program.
