Important Notice about Your Paycheck Deductions
Changes to health insurance deductions
scheduled for the January 2, 2002 paycheck for employees on the Administrative payroll
were not made. This includes the change in rates from year 2001 to year 2002. A one-time
adjustment will be made to the January 16 paycheck to correct this error. Beginning with
the January 30 paycheck, the correct 2002 premium deduction will be taken.
This error does not impact the
effective date of coverage for employees who switched health plans during the Option
Transfer Period. Coverage under the new plan
will still be effective on January 3, 2002.
In addition to the wrong premium
deduction being taken, the Health Option Program (HOP) transactions that were supposed to
begin with the January 2, 2002 paychecks for employees on the Administrative payroll were
not processed. This means:
*2001 HOP enrollees who DID NOT enroll in
the 2002 HOP program will have an extra credit in their 1/2/02 paycheck. A retroactive
adjustment will be made to their 1/16/02 paycheck.
*2001 HOP enrollees who did enroll in the
2002 HOP program will have the 2001 credit in their 1/2/02 paycheck. The correction to
reflect the proper 2002 credit will be in their 1/16/02 paycheck.
*New HOP enrollees for 2002 will
not have a HOP credit in their 1/2/02 paycheck. The correction to reflect the proper
credit for 1/2/02 will be made in their 1/16/02 paycheck.
